RESOLUTIONS OF NCSS QUARTERLY MEETING ADOPTED ON 25/02/2022

The undersigned, being the Moderators of National Conversation South Sudan (NCSS), hereby sign the following approved resolutions.

RESOLVED THAT:

  1. Those who subscribe to the NCSS principles and values shall continue to be regarded as Subscribers as stated in the Organization Constitution. NCSS is not a Political Party, but National Voluntary movement of youths into wealth that will facilitate the economic  empowerment of rural societies across South Sudan.
  2.  The Moderators shall make up the national secretariat of the NCSS.
  3.   Moderators to be deployed in the National Secretariat according to the following roles:Moderator for Finance and economics; Moderator for Information and media; Moderator forAgribusiness; Moderator for Public Relations; and Moderator for Civic Education and SkillsTraining.
  4. Mabior Garang de Mabior, the Chairperson of BoT, is deployed by the Moderators as Principal Moderator (PM) to centralize and supervise all activities of the National Secretariat.
  5. The renewal of the NCSS registration certificate with Relief and Rehabilitation Commission, to be facilitated by Bol Joseph Agau before 24th March, 2022.
  6.   In addition to mobile office, there shall be established a permanent national office in the City of Juba to coordinate the activities of the NCSS.
  7.  There shall be five nominated Moderators, two of whom shall be from Australia and North America to coordinate the NCSS activities in diaspora. The following persons were nominated as Moderators: Aborcup Akuer Maze, Daniel Makoi Majak, Jok Kuol Deng Abot, Marry Nyibol Maker and Nyakoda Rebecca Joak Mundit.
  8. NCSS shall seek cooperation with development partners and local government institutions or other international Organizations to mobilize fund for the establishment of Youth Agricultural Farm ( YAF) and National Conversation South Sudan Resource Centre (NCSSRC).
  9. While we seek cooperation with others, the NCSS shall not compromise the shared cultural values of our peoples as basis of engagement with both local and foreign NGOs; business communities and governmental agencies.
  10. The NCSS shall continue to develop programs tailored for the vulnerable and displaced populations in POCs and refugee-camps.
  11.   NCSS to introduce techniques for food preservation to local farmers to reduce the post harvest losses, and to provide easy storage and transport. Cpt. Mabior Garang will facilitate the acquisition of machines for processing tomatoes in South Sudan.
  12. The Moderators of the NCSS shall conduct their sittings on a Quarterly basis subject to the availability of resources.
